Cape to Cape Expedition

	Thermo top heaters will be helping the expedition vehicles and crew to keep going in the most severe Siberian winter weather. Omjakon is the coldest permanently inhabited place on earth where the mercury often dips below -50˚C. We have been able to draw on the vast experience acquired by Webasto staff working on both military and civilian winterization projects.
	Thanks to Ian Williams at First Choice Expedition Foods. They will be supplying nourishment for the expedition in the form of high calorie freeze dried meals and supplementary high energy bars. We have used them many times in the past on mountain marathons and find them very tasty, filling and convenient to use.
	Dan Evans has enthusiastically supported the expedition from the beginning. His company Protection and Performance Ltd have been closely involved in the development and testing of the amphibious capability and also the unique track system. Protection and Performance are appointed the task of vehicle preparation and Dan will himself take part in the historic Bering Strait crossing.
	Chris Lees at Bask Expedition Clothing is supplying the expedition with extreme cold weather clothing and the unique "Kashgar -60˚C" sleeping bags. Bask down garments have been tried and tested in the most hostile climates on earth, at both poles and all 8000m summits. Made in Russia to cope with the Siberian cold and to provide that extra margin of safety.
	TyreSeal's unique tyre sealant will be helping to reduce our puncture risk throughout the expedition. There is no such thing as a convenient time to have a puncture so reducing the risk to an absolute minimum will be of tremendous benefit.
	Thanks to Andy Tomlinson at Ruftraks and rope manufacturer Puget Sound Ropes we are being supplied with the latest plasma lightweight winch ropes which replaces traditional steel cable. This is of special benefit to us as this cable floats for use in water environments, has no memory yet exceeds the strength of steel.
	Devon 4x4 are a specialist 4x4 company based in South Molton in Devon. They can supply vehicles, specialist and replacement parts, servicing and preparation of all makes of off road vehicles. They have supplied the expedition with winching, suspension, traction, electrical and security equipment from their vast product range.
	Cooper Tires are a welcome supporter of Cape to Cape Expedition. Of the many tyres we considered to help us complete this arduous journey heavy duty 10 ply Cooper Discovery ST were considered to be most suitable. With a 40/60 off-road bias, wear, and durability on highways, was considered as well as traction and off-road capability. We were delighted when Tom Edwards, UK Marketing Manager for Cooper Tires agreed to sponsor the expedition.
	Shark Group based in Morpeth, Northumberland have been making survivial products for use in the most hostile environments since 1965. Their products have helped sailors, mountaineers and explorers all over the world achieve their goals. The Nomex Gore-tex Survival suit and re-breather is used extensively in the oil and gas industry. Shark Group is providing the expedition with survival equipment for our safety across the Bering Strait.
David Peel Auto Electricians Ltd	David Peel Auto Electricians Ltd provide all aspects of Auto electric servicing and parts for cars, commercials and plant. A family firm with over 30 years experience they are a fully approved Tacho graph test station and can fit, test and repair all types of speed limiters. Other services include Webasto and Eberspacher heating and air conditioning and they keep extensive stocks of all lighting and auto electrical products. The company is providing auto electrical services to the expedition.
	Anyone who has spent long behind the wheel of a Land Rover knows leg room is in short supply. This is made even worse in the LHD versions we are driving due to the smaller foot well and driving position, To make life more bearable for 6'4" co-driver Simon Dedman we have fitted Mud Seat rails. This offers 4" more leg room and greatly improves driver and passenger comfort. Thanks to Stuart Baldwin at Mud UK for supporting the expedition.
	Thanks to Peter at the Propshaft Clinic, Bradford for his assistance in getting the drive to the propeller. The Propshaft Clinic has been specialising in drive shafts and couplings for over 25 years. They can manufacture, repair, modify and balance virtually any application you can think of. Industrial, agricultural, commercial transport, automototive, motor sport and off-road. Peter is well known on racing and off road circuits providing services to many of the top teams.
	From a family business established in 1919 by Bert Draper, Draper Tools now holds probably the largest stock of tools in the U.K In their 400,000sq ft premises in Chandlers Ford they stock tools for every trade; for professional use and also for use in the home. Draper have kindly offered to support the expedition supplying us with the necessary tools for maintenance and repair.
	A Wakefield based company offering sign manufacture, point of sale display and vehicle livery from concept to completion in all fields. Eye catching displays are essential to anyone wishing to get their products or message out in front. Visual Impact produced vinyl's for our vehicle at short notice when we needed them for a particular promotional event and have offered continued support to the expedition.
J.Wright and Sons Tel: 01924 840336	Richard Wright at J.Wright and Sons has been a staunch supporter of Cape to Cape Expedion since the start. He has provided considerable input throughout the development of both the prototype, the expedition vehicle and also the track system. The garage has kindly bought the trailer which will carry our equipment to Moscow.
	Millers have been manufacturing lubricants for over 100 years and today produce a huge range covering industrial, commercial, classic and sport automotive applications. Millers have provided Cape to Cape with highly specialized synthetic lubricants to keep the land rover going at the lowest temperatures.
	Mark Saville from LRO has been following the developement and progress of the expedition for many years now. It all started in Spring of 2004 with a drive in our amphibious prototype at Coniston. LRO will be following the progress of the expedition and receiving news pieces along the way.
	Charles Spinks has been our I.T consultant throughout the development of the website. Many thanks go to the hours of work that he has contributed.
	Crossley Evans provided much needed funds to get the expedition personnel back to Alaska and complete the Bering Strait crossing in August 2008.
